Er det noen som vet hvilket bryggeri AJL 1522 stammer fra. Jeg vet at det ikke er Tou eller Ringnes.

It's still alive and kicking, cryogenically frozen in liquid nitrogen in our laboratories.
Here's a little background information for you.
Saccharomyces pastorianus AJL 1522
Originally obtained from a regional lager brewery in Norway (I can confirm that the brewery the yeast originated from was not Tou Bryggeri, but the origin is confidential I'm afraid).
The yeast has been used to make successful regional lager beers in Scandinavia, France, Germany, Greece, USA and many other places (including Iran and Pakistan).
It was originally deposited in the AJL collection in 1942.
It's a traditional European lager yeast, ideally suited to production of beer in bottle, can or keg. Versatile yeast, capable of producing traditional Czech-style Pilsner and dark lager beers, or modern, new world, pale lager beers.
Bottom-fermenting yeast, moderately flocculent, suitable for use in cylindroconical fermenters.
It produces well-attenuated beers with high levels of banana ester (isoamyl acetate) and solvent ester character (ethyl acetate). Volatile sulphur flavours and diacetyl are very low.
The yeast is still in use today in Norway, and elsewhere, producing great-tasting lager beers. They tend to be very clean and fuity (banana ester especially).»
